ACHS (Asociación Chilena de Seguridad) is Chile's largest occupational accident and health insurer, serving thousands of workers and companies across the country. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, in-person medical consultations became impossible almost overnight. The Superintendencia de Seguridad Social mandated that insurers maintain continuity of care, placing ACHS under urgent pressure to digitize their patient care operations. They needed a trusted technology partner capable of delivering a compliant, production-ready telemedicine solution in weeks — not months.
ACHS needed to rapidly build a telemedicine and appointment scheduling platform while integrating with their existing enterprise systems — SAP for patient records, IMED for clinical documentation, and third-party payment processors — all under strict regulatory supervision. The platform had to meet the compliance requirements set by the Superintendencia de Seguridad Social, with no room for error on data security or availability.
